Does your current agency suck at providing reliable Django Support and Maintenance?

If you’re like most business owners, you don’t have time to deal with the day-to-day maintenance of your website. That’s where a good Django agency can help. But not all agencies are created equal. So how do you find one that will provide reliable support and maintenance for your Django website? And more importantly, how do you know if they’re any good? In this article, we’ll cover some of the things you should look for when researching Django agencies. We’ll also discuss the importance of having human interaction, and why quick response times are so important.

When it comes to finding a reliable Django agency, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First and foremost, you want an agency that has quick response times. This is important for two reasons. First, if there’s an issue with your website, you want it fixed as soon as possible. Second, if the agency is quick to respond to your questions and concerns, it shows that they’re invested in their clients.

Another thing to look for is human interaction. You want an agency that you can talk to on the phone or in person. This way, if there are ever any issues, you can easily get in touch with someone who can help.

The types of agencies you need to avoid are those that only offer one form of contact for their aftercare services, usually the one’s only offering a ticketing system. That generally means the agency is not invested in looking after clients post-development and they see support as a headache or a necessary evil.

(A caveat to mention here, is that there are some agencies, that will offer superb support via ticketing, however, these are the exception).

The question you should ask, is does this make it convenient for me the customer, or the agency.

Agencies that nail it when it comes to Django maintenance and support are those who truly think about customer convenience first. These agencies will offer multiple methods of contact; email, ticketing, social media, WhatsApp, and Slack, to name a few.

The cherry on the cake, much like the self-due-diligence you go through when purchasing from an online store; can they be contacted via Phone?

The telephone  is still the holy grail for providing support. It seems over the years, more and more agencies, are reluctant to provide telephone support, as they believe it to be a ball-ache, because it’s considered both timely and costly, when in fact it is the fastest and most efficient way to resolve an issue.

Furthermore, a good agency will offer a solid SLA agreement in writing. This document should outline the level of support you can expect, as well as the response times for works to be carried out.

If an agency doesn’t have an SLA agreement, it’s a good idea to steer clear.

If you keep these things in mind, you should be able to find a Django agency that will provide reliable support and maintenance. And more importantly, you’ll be able to rest easy knowing that your website is in good hands.
